Hi,
I am planning to apply my Green card. However I am a bit confused which category will I fall to ? EB2 or EB3 ?
As per my job requirement details, it is as below:
i ) Bachelor degree in technology related field.
In the detailed experience seeked, it says as below:
i) Five years of experience with installing, maintaining servers.
ii) Three years of practical experience in routing and network security.
I have more than 5 years of working experience (which they seeked) before I started this job.
Under which category will it fall under, EB2 or EB3 ?

Since you applied recently, can you share the list of docs you sent to the attorneys for filing 140? are you EB2 or 3?

This is just unofficial and don't ask my sources.
All i know is that as of yesterday there were only 18000 applications for Masters quota.
Why did not they get filled as fast as the Regular quota?
This is the reasoning my lawyer gave....
"Most of the applicants for Master's quota were in confusion after April 3 after reading several bulletins about 200,000 or so H1-B applications. And some people didn't even apply thinking that the USCIS may have received more than enough master's quota applications even though the bulletin said that they were accepting more applications for Master's quota."
I know of people who have submitted fresh H1-B applications under master's quota as late as April 7th.
So guys, wait for the official numbers. Don't believe me. But do compare when the official news is released.
I am surprised by the slow pace of Master's applications.

My PERM was filed and I got the following email from my lawyers
" Labor Certification by ABC ABC, Inc. on your behalf has been submitted via the Department of Labor�s (DOL) Permanent Online System as of the above date (April 1) . The application will be adjudicated by a National PERM Processing Center. As the DOL does not currently have a processing schedule for PERM applications, we are unable to predict how long processing will take. In the past, PERM applications have been adjudicated anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Unfortunately, there is currently no way for beneficiaries to check the status of the application. We will contact you as soon as we hear anything specific regarding your case. "
1. Is there any place where you can check the status ? Since I do not have any reference number, and from the text of the email, I doubt that.
2. I checked some forums and found that the average processing time is 60 days. Which processing center should I be looking for ? (I work at Oracle in SFO)

Does anybody know what the fees are for filing EAD (yearly) extensions if you filed for EAD, 485 before August 17.

Based on the knowledge I have.
1. Can my hospital file for my PERM and subsequently for GC while I am still doing chief residency on cap exempt visa and technically a part of residency program which is cap exempt?
If it is a profit based company then you are no more cap exempt. You have to file a new H1B asap.
2. Will i need a new H1b process with the hospital as it has changed from cap exempt to cap status as it is no longer non profit?
They have to file a new H1B for you.
3.My prospective employment date will be June 19 2011 as till then I will be working as chief resident, so what would be the earliest date for filing the PERM and H1b application
GC is for future employment. When they apply for Prevailing wage they have to apply based on your 2011 position (Hospitalist/Teaching Hospitalist/ Primary care doctor). They can file your GC now.

Thanks guys. Nik, my boss took the decision out of my hands and had me order the 2 lense option. I'm hoping it's compact enough that I can hike with it. If so, he said he'd take my Canon Pro1 for the shop and I could have this. If I take it, then I'll look into your suggestion.
